Children with palliative status. Communication with parents who are in the stage of denial
AbstractThe palliative status of a child causes a lot of stress for parents. This paper describes 5 main psychological reactions in response to information that a child is incurable. Variants of denial stage manifestation depending on the parent’s personality type are considered in detail, and options for interaction on the part of medical personnel are also proposed.
